Stephanie M. Throckmorton is the Deputy City Attorney for the City of Coral Gables. In this role, Throckmorton assists the City Attorney and provides legal counsel to city departments. She previously served as Assistant City Attorney from 2016 to 2023 before being named Deputy City Attorney.

Prior to joining the City, she was a Staff Attorney for Disability Rights Florida where she represented and advocated for individuals with disabilities. Committed to serving her community, she also served as a Public Service Fellow at the Florida Justice Institute, a nonprofit law firm.

Throckmorton earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Berkeley and her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia. While in law school, she was an editorial board member for the Virginia Environmental Law Journal and participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic. Currently, she is an active member of the Junior League of Miami. She is admitted to practice law in both California and Florida.
