Promotes the historic heritage of the city through the local historic designation and design review process with educational programs and publications. It manages city-owned historic properties and maintains the archives and collections related to the original development. The department also manages the city’s Cultural Grants and Art in Public Places programs.

To request an appointment for special access to the Valdés-Fauli Coral Gables Archives collections please call 305-460-5095 or email Amanda LeVasser at alevasser@coralgables.com. If you need to meet with our staff for plan reviews for the Board of Architects or other board please note our hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
