Hurricane Helene

The City of Coral Gables is monitoring Hurricane Helene. A tropical storm warning and flood watch is now in effect for Miami-Dade County. Heavy rains and strong wind gusts are expected starting early Thursday morning. Rainfall of two to four inches and winds of 39 to 57 mph are expected.

Residents living in flood-prone areas may park their cars at Garage 4, 385 Andalusia Ave., beginning tomorrow, Sept. 26, with a valid driver's license with proof of Coral Gables residency.

As a reminder:

Do not trim trees or leave loose debris out; they can become dangerous projectiles with storm-grade winds.

Keep storm drains clear of litter, debris and green matter to minimize flooding.

Report any signs of flooding via the city’s 311 app/website.

Download the Everbridge app or text "CoralGables" to 888-777 to get the latest emergency updates.
