Lamar Louise Curry, a Coral Gables Garden Club member, bequeathed $200,000 to the Coral Gables Garden Club to work with the city on a beautification project. Her wish was granted in the form of a new park named in her honor. Located at 2665 DeSoto Boulevard, the park is across from Venetian Pool and is now open to the public.

“This is a living tribute to a long-time and committed club volunteer,” said Susan Rodriguez, club president. “We look forward to unveiling the plaque in her honor and are grateful for Ms. Curry’s generosity.”
