Neighbors in Need

The City of Coral Gables, in conjunction with the Global Empowerment Mission, Mayor Vince Lago, and Rep. Demi Busatta Cabrera, is collecting donations through Oct. 22 for our neighbors on the Gulf Coast who have been impacted by Hurricane Ian.

Supplies being collected include:

  • Non-perishable or canned food
  • Water/Pedialyte/Gatorade
  • Nutrition bars
  • Baby food (no glass)
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Flashlights/lanterns
  • Mosquito repellant
  • First aid kits/medical supplies
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping bags/air mattresses
  • Personal hygiene items
  • Disposable diapers

Residents are encouraged to bring in supplies to Fire Station #2, 525 S Dixie Highway, between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., or to send monetary donations to the American Red Cross, the Florida Disaster Fund, Feeding Florida, or Global Empowerment Mission.

Donations will also be accepted at the Recycling Drive-Thru event on Oct. 22.
