The Coral Gables Fire Department donated three gas detectors to Paraguay. The country’s fire rescue operations is volunteer-based and only had 10 gas detectors. This equipment will help firefighters identify hazardous gas leaks. Paraguayan Consul General Justo Apodaca Paredes accepted the donation with gratitude on behalf of the almost 7 million citizens of the country.

The Consulate of Paraguay recently relocated to the City of Coral Gables this year, joining more than 20 consulates and foreign government offices that now call the city home.
