On Friday, Sept. 15, City of Coral Gables staff, commissioners and guests gathered at the Coral Gables Golf & Country Club to celebrate the nominees and winners from this year's Employee Appreciation Reception. Congratulations to the following:

- Firefighter of the Year: Capt. Mark Bernhardt
- Officer of the Year: Sgt. Gordon Dickinson
- Operator of the Year: Amy Avila
