Consulate of Paraguay relocates to Coral Gables

The Consulate of Paraguay has relocated to the City of Coral Gables joining more than 20 consulates and foreign government offices that now call the city home. The office, located at 2655 S. LeJeune Road, will serve the approximately 3,000 Paraguayans who live in South Florida along with cultural and business interests related to the country.

“The ever-expanding international landscape in our city makes it a prime location in the global marketplace,” said Coral Gables Mayor Vincent Lago.  “We are pleased the Consulate of Paraguay has joined this robust international community. We look forward to new opportunities for business and culturally enriching experiences.”

The Paraguayan diplomatic office, headed by the Honorable Consul General Justo Apodaca, moved to Coral Gables after 22 years in the City of Miami. Proximity to Miami International Airport, a safe, walkable downtown and access to local and other foreign government agencies were among the reasons for the relocation, according to the Consul General.

“We were delighted to accept Mayor Lago’s invitation to relocate to Coral Gables and be a part of the great consular family that exists here,” Apodaca said. “We look forward to being part of this dynamic city.”
