The Adult Activity Center (AAC) has a series of fun-filled events to celebrate National Senior Citizens Week. 

All events are free with registration. Register early as space is limited. 

Events

Monday, August 19

• 10 a.m. - noon: Coffee, pastelitos, and volunteers from Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders (S.H.I.N.E.) will be available to answer questions about Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance.
• 1 p.m.: Win prizes at Sustainability Bingo from the Coral Gables Trolley, Sustainability within Coral Gables, and Keep Coral Gables Beautiful.

Tuesday, August 20

• 11:30 a.m.: "What will your Legacy be?" presentation and lunch provided by the Coral Gables Community Foundation.
• 1 p.m.: Join us for an informative presentation from the Alzheimer's Association discussing, Building Foundations of Caregiving & Supporting Independence.

Wednesday, August 21

• 11:30 a.m.: Join Bankers Life for a Lunch and lecture on Medicare, Long Term Care, Whole Life and Retirement Income planning.
• 2 p.m.: Join the City of Coral Gables Police Department for a self-defense class.

Thursday, August 22

• 10 a.m.: Enjoy pastelitos and learn what new services Freebee is providing the city.
• 1 p.m.: Crime Watch team will have an informational meeting about who and what Crime Watch is. Find out what is happening in our city, how to avoid crime and stay safe.
• 1:45 p.m.: Community Outreach Division Office of the State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle offers a lecture on Elderly Exploitation.

Friday, August 23

• 11: 30 a.m.: An informative presentation on the cryptocurrency BITCOIN. Lunch will be be provided by The Palace.
• 1 p.m.: The week concludes with an "End of Summer Ice Cream Social." Join us as we say farewell to summer and enjoy an afternoon with friends.

Complimentary valet parking is available across the street at The Palace. Free parking is available in the garage above the building with validation. To receive validation, bring your ticket with you inside to the Registration Office.
