Celebrate the 2025 Great American Cleanup season on Saturday, April 19, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Matheson Hammock Park, located at 9610 Old Cutler Road. Volunteers will jog or walk through the mangrove trails, collecting litter to prevent it from re-entering the ocean.
What is plogging? It’s a fun, eco-friendly workout that combines jogging (or walking) with plocka upp — Swedish for “picking up” litter. Move at your own pace while making a difference.
Let’s clean up and get moving! Don’t forget to bring a reusable water bottle, closed toes shoes, sunscreen and bug spray.
