Meet your local police department, fire department and University of Miami Police Department at St. Augustine Church on 1400 Miller Road on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
National Night Out is an annual event where communities across the country can network with first responders. Participants will enjoy a free, family-friendly evening. There will be games, food, a Police K9 unit demonstration and prizes. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to get up close to the SWAT vehicle, interact with the Mounted Patrol Officers and see Fire Department trucks and meet officers from both the Police and Fire Departments.
National Night Out provides our first responders the opportunity to build stronger ties with the community. It also provides a great opportunity for residents to meet their neighbors.
