On April 29th, our City Beautiful, Coral Gables, officially turns 100 years old. What better way to celebrate our Founding Day than a stage play that brings George Merrick, Doc Dammers, and Carl Fisher back to life. Meet the men and the women who made our city, as well as Greater Miami, what it is today in this original play written by Coral Gables native, June Thomson Morris.

Greetings from Paradise
On April 29, Coral Gables officially turns 100 years old. What better way to celebrate our Founding Day than a stage play that brings George Merrick, Doc Dammers, and Carl Fisher back to life. Meet the men and the women who made our city, as well as Greater Miami, what it is today. June Thomson Morris heard the stories firsthand from her grandparents who rode Henry Flagler’s train down from Indiana to start a new life among the early South Florida pioneers. What she discovered in researching their story is an adventure not for the faint of heart! Through the Great Florida Land Boom of 1925 to the land bust a short time later, followed by the hurricane of 1926, "Greetings from Paradise" is a rare opportunity to witness what it meant to leave everything behind for a chance to stake a claim to Paradise in America’s final frontier.
