Join the last meeting and musicale of the Coral Gables Music Club 2022-2023 season. It will be on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the Coral Gables Congregational Church. 

Members and friends will meet in Fellowship Hall for refreshments 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. and then move to the Sanctuary for the performance at 11 a.m.

The featured artists are Jasmine Williams and J'Von Brown. 

Jasmine is a multi talented Soprano who has a vocal performance music degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She released her first single, “The Voice Words” in 2018 under the name of The Jas Sound. It showcases her musical background in gospel, opera, jazz and contemporary music.

J'Von, a Ft. Lauderdale native, is a graduate of the undergraduate program of the New World School of the Arts and Indian River State College. He performed in the South Florida production of Porgy and Bess, starred in Man of La Mancha, as well as operas Die Fledermaus and Amahl and the Night Visitors. He won the Grady-Rayam Negro Spiritual Competition and is the former male ambassador of the prize for 2020.

The Coral Gables Music Club was founded in 1939 and is affiliated with the National Federation Of Music Clubs which started in 1898. The Coral Gables branch is proud to support approximately 20 young musicians with scholarships every year. The students are elementary school age through high school. They are involved with the Coral Gables Junior Music Club which provides them with peer group support and experience performing. Every February, they showcase their talents for the public at a recital held at the Coral Gables Congregational Church. 

The Coral Gables Congregational Church is very involved in the community as a supporter of culture and the arts. We are very grateful for their ongoing support over many years.
