Calling all volunteers! Join us on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida’s Camp Mahachee, located at 9950 Old Cutler Road. Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida is working to restore the front entrance of Camp Mahachee, a 74-year-old campground in the heart of Coral Gables. 

Volunteers will be collecting litter, removing invasive species, and relocating small pieces of wood from the 1 ½-acre entrance area. Community service hours are available.

Things to remember:

• Wear closed-toed shoes and long pants.
• Hats and sunscreen are recommended.
• Do not forget your reusable water bottle.
