Instituto San Carlos presents a special performance by the Yelsy Heredia Trio featuring a tribute to the legendary Israel López "Cachao" and the captivating sound of Cuban music. Performance will be April 26 at 7 p.m. at Sanctuary of the Arts. 

¡Cachao Vive! will bring to life the vibrant rhythms and timeless melodies of Cuba in a remarkable program that honors the island’s rich musical heritage. Led by Yelsy Heredia, a two-time Latin Grammy Nominee, the trio also features the extraordinary talents of Pacho Chiba (piano) and Tany Allende (percussion). 

Award-winning producer Joe Cardona will present a 20-minute film documentary on the history of the San Carlos Institute, a historic Key West landmark for the Cuban community.
