The City of Coral Gables is working with Perkins+Will, an interdisciplinary research-
based architecture and design firm, to develop a So. Dixie Highway Corridor Master Plan for the section of US-1 that falls within City boundaries (approximately 2.5 miles).
The objective is to explore – in partnership with resident and business stakeholders, County and State regulatory agencies – existing and potential future redevelopment opportunities along the City’s portion of the Corridor.
Exploration of the potential development and re-development of the properties along South Dixie Highway will provide us with an opportunity to envision a new “Coral Gables Corridor” that could evolve into a unique experience for all of us who use it – drivers, transit users, pedestrians, and cyclists.
