Wayne E. "Chip" Withers

Welcome
Commissioner Wayne "Chip" Withers has served on the City Commission since
1991, and was reelected in 2007 to a fifth, consecutive four-year term. Before
being elected to office, Commissioner Withers held appointed positions on the
City of Coral Gables' Planning and Zoning, Economic Development, Code
Enforcement, Youth Advisory and Parks and Recreation boards.
Commissioner Withers is President of Withers Transfer & Storage of Coral Gables,
Inc., Withers Worldwide Forwarders, Inc., and Withers Transportation Systems. He
is a fourth-generation Miamian and a graduate of Coral Gables Senior High. He holds
a BSBA degree from the University of Florida.
